DanceTake · HarmonyOS
Privacy Policy
Updated and effective: September 6, 2026
This policy covers the native HarmonyOS edition of DanceTake, developed and operated by Longwei Liu (Good App HQ), with the package name com.longweiliu.dancetake. It does not cover editions for other platforms.
Recording, framing detection, and original-audio processing take place on your device. The current app has no accounts, ads, usage analytics, or third-party analytics SDKs. Your recordings, imported media, and body keypoints are not automatically sent to us.
1. Camera and framing detection
The app requests camera access when you use the recording feature. It uses the camera for the live preview, framing detection, and recording. Footage may include you or people nearby; please obtain their consent before recording. Without camera permission, framing detection and recording are unavailable.
DanceTake uses skeleton detection from Huawei Core Vision Kit to analyze body keypoints on your device, check framing and stability, and trigger the countdown. Frames used for detection and their keypoints are held in memory during processing; the app does not keep a separate keypoint record or use them for facial recognition, identity verification, or biometric profiles. Videos you choose to record are stored locally as described below.
2. Microphone and live sound
When you record with live sound without selecting reference media, the app requests microphone access to include that sound in your video. Denying access prevents this recording method from working. When you select reference media with an audio track, DanceTake uses that original track for the finished video and does not need microphone audio for that purpose. You can change camera and microphone permissions in system settings at any time.
3. Reference media you select
You choose videos or audio through the system photo or file picker. The app accesses the items you select; it does not request permission to browse your entire photo library or scan all your files. Selected media is copied into the app’s private storage for playback, audio extraction, and local processing. Audio may be converted on your device when needed. These operations do not overwrite the original file.
The app uses the media’s name, duration, and timing information needed to align audio and video. If a selected item is stored in the cloud, the system photo or file service may download it first. That transfer is handled by the relevant service and your settings, not by our servers.
4. Recordings, finished videos, and photo-library copies
Recordings, finished videos, and information used to display your recording history stay in the app’s private storage. Original-audio processing also takes place on your device. The app only copies a finished video to your photo library when you use the system save button and authorize the save; this does not give it access to other items in your library.
Saving creates a separate copy. Whether your photo library, backup service, or file provider syncs that copy depends on your settings for those services. Deleting a recording inside DanceTake does not also delete copies in your library, backups, or elsewhere.
5. Local storage and deletion
Your recording history stays on your device so you can review or delete it. To protect recordings when processing is interrupted, the app may retain the original recording, audio, and recovery information such as filenames and audio-alignment timing. Files needed by an unfinished task remain available for another attempt. Recovery information is not uploaded to us.
Cleanup routines remove imported copies and intermediate files that are no longer needed. Files in use or needed for recovery are not removed immediately. You can delete unwanted recordings in the app, clear the app’s data through the system, or remove its data when uninstalling. Copies in your photo library, system backups, or other locations must be managed separately.
6. System capabilities and other services
The current app uses HarmonyOS camera and media-processing capabilities, system photo and file pickers, the system save control, and skeleton detection from Huawei Core Vision Kit. It does not integrate advertising, cross-app tracking, third-party sign-in, or cloud video-processing services. We do not sell your personal information.
Huawei system services and any photo, file, or backup services you choose may process data under their own privacy notices and your settings. We cannot change those settings for you. This policy describes DanceTake’s own behavior and does not replace those services’ notices.
7. This website and support email
Recording and processing do not require you to upload media to this website. Opening this page on goodapphq.com is a separate website visit: your browser makes network requests, and our hosting and content-delivery provider, Cloudflare, may process technical data such as your IP address and request information to deliver and protect the site. The website has no advertising or behavioral analytics tools. A language you select manually is stored locally in your browser.
If you email us, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to handle your request and related follow-up. Please leave out unrelated sensitive information. The app does not automatically attach recordings to support emails.
8. Your choices and rights
You choose which permissions to grant, which media to import, and which videos to save. You can withdraw permissions in system settings; doing so does not delete existing files. To request access, correction, or deletion of information we actually hold, such as support correspondence, contact us below. Recordings on your device must be managed through the app or system controls; we cannot access or delete them remotely.
9. Children and policy updates
DanceTake is not designed specifically for children. Minors should have a parent or guardian help them understand camera and microphone access, media storage, and the privacy of anyone they record.
We will update this policy and its effective date if features or data practices change. Where a change requires a separate notice or consent, we will address that as required. Please contact us with questions about this policy or our handling of personal information.
