Include your ZipSeek version, macOS version, file type, archive depth, and a short description. Remove sensitive content before sharing a sample.
Before contacting us
- Confirm the relevant file type is selected in the filters.
- Enable Text in Images for pictures and scanned documents.
- Try deep inspection for files with misleading extensions; it is slower than the default fast path.
- If Pro does not appear active, open the Pro screen and choose Restore Purchase.
Archive limitations
Nested archive search defaults to five levels and can be adjusted in Settings. Password-protected ZIP is supported; encrypted 7z and RAR are not yet supported. Size, expansion, and item limits protect performance and disk space.
System and formats
ZipSeek requires macOS 14 or later. It supports common text, PDF, modern Office and OpenDocument files, image OCR, and archives including ZIP, 7z, RAR, TAR, GZ, BZ2, and XZ. Legacy DOC, XLS, and PPT content extraction is not yet supported.
