Smart dance recording · iPhone · iOS 17+

Set down your iPhone. Step into frame. Dance.

DanceTake watches the frame while you get into position. Once you are visible and steady, it counts down and starts recording—no one has to stand behind the camera.

See the reference and your live camera side by side on TV.

Clean original audio

Made for practising alone

The camera can wait for you.

DanceTake removes the small interruptions that make solo recording awkward, so you can stay focused on the choreography.

01

Recording by yourself

Place the phone on a stable support, step back, and let the framing guide tell you when the camera is ready.

02

Repeating one routine

Keep takes grouped by the same teaching video or track, making versions easy to compare.

03

Practising away from the phone

Move the reference to a compatible TV with AirPlay, then follow it from across the room.

A simpler recording rhythm

Choose. Step back. Keep the take.

You can start with a teaching video, an audio track, or no reference at all.

01

Choose what to follow

Pick a video or audio file, reuse a recent reference, or leave it empty and record the room sound.

02

Step into frame

The large colour cue shows whether the key parts of your body are visible. Hold still briefly to begin the countdown.

03

Finish without the scramble

Review the take, trim the ending, mirror it if needed, then save or share it with the clean source track.

What is included

From getting into frame to keeping the version you like.

Whole-body guidance, automatic start, front-camera recording, and the quality and frame-rate choices supported by your iPhone.

Questions

Before you set the phone down.

Can I record without a teaching video or music?+

Yes. Leave the reference empty to keep the room sound, or turn the microphone off if you want a silent recording.

Does DanceTake upload my videos?+

No. Imported media and recorded takes remain in the app’s local storage unless you choose to save or share them. AirPlay does not create a DanceTake cloud copy.

Do I still need someone behind the camera?+

No. A tripod or other stable support is recommended, but the framing cue and automatic countdown are designed for solo recording.

What if my TV does not support AirPlay?+

All iPhone recording features still work. TV practice requires a compatible AirPlay or screen-mirroring receiver.

Put the phone down and stay with the dance.
