FadeVerse
Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 18, 2026
FadeVerse is an iPhone and iPad app for practising Chinese poetry and classical prose recitation. We minimize data processing: there are no user accounts, ads, analytics, or tracking SDKs.
Learning profiles and history
Learner names, plans, practice progress, review dates, and history are stored on the current device and are not uploaded to a developer server. Deleting a learner or uninstalling the app removes the corresponding local data.
Microphone and speech recognition
The app requests microphone and speech-recognition permission only when you begin a recitation practice. FadeVerse does not save or upload raw recordings. Recognition uses Apple Speech system services; depending on the device, system availability, and configuration, speech data may be processed on-device or by Apple services under Apple’s policies.
System narration
System narration is generated on the device using Apple speech synthesis. The app does not use a user’s recordings to create narration.
Notifications
If you enable daily reminders, FadeVerse requests permission for local notifications. They are scheduled by the device at the time you choose and can be disabled in Settings.
Purchases
The optional, one-time FadeVerse Pro purchase is processed by Apple through StoreKit. The developer does not receive your complete payment details. Apple may process transaction and Apple ID information under its own policies.
